Journalist Christine Woodside recently won an Excellence in Journalism Award for her investigative series “Sewage Overflows: Legal But Tainted” from the CT Chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists. We previously posted her articles in our newsletter last year about the serious sewage problems in Black Rock & Bridgeport.
One part of the series covered our Unified Water Study project with photos of our project manager, Kevin Blagys, and the Aquaculture School student volunteers at work. Christine attended our first water quality summit in February and our environmental award ceremony last November. She continues to follow our environmental activities in Black Rock.
